Switching apps

Switch subscription apps without losing a subscriber

Bring your subscribers across from a CSV export. Their saved cards, prices and next billing dates come with them.

Which apps

The import reads the export files of Seal, Recharge, Appstle, Loop and most other subscription apps. Their column names are recognised as they are, so you do not edit the file.

How it works

  1. Export your subscriptions from the old app as a CSV.
  2. Check the file in ZS Subscriptions. Nothing is created yet: each subscription is matched to its customer, saved card, products and address, and anything missing is listed.
  3. Import the ones that passed. Each keeps its next billing date, price, card and address. Running the same file again creates no duplicates.
  4. Cancel the same subscriptions in the old app straight away, so nobody is charged twice.

What carries over

  • Saved payment method (when it is saved in Shopify)
  • Next billing date, billing and delivery interval
  • Products, quantities and the price each subscriber pays
  • Shipping address and delivery price
  • Paused subscriptions stay paused

What it costs

  • Free: up to 50 subscriptions
  • Starter: US$2.29 a month, up to 100
  • Growth: US$3.95 a month, up to 250
  • Pro: US$9.95 a month, up to 500
  • Business: US$35.95 a month, up to 2,000
  • Scale: US$79 a month, up to 50,000

0% transaction fee on every plan. Your price does not grow with your subscription revenue. Annual billing costs about 17% less.

Questions

Some apps keep cards with their own payment processor. Those cards cannot be moved; the import lists those subscriptions so you can invite the customers to subscribe again.
Yes, and we recommend it: import a small batch, check it under Subscriptions, then move everyone.
